Community members who would like to host their own dedicated Lord of the Ring: Conquest games for PC & PS3 are in luck, as Pandemic has a nice 300MB present for you. The below download links will provide you access to the files to create online dedicated servers for Lord of the Rings: Conquest for both PC & PS3.
OVERVIEW
This software allows you to host games for The Lord of the Rings: Conquest™ on your PC over the Internet for PC clients. The maximum number of players in the game is dependent on the bandwidth and processing power of your PC.
So if you have a sweet PC and a great internet connection you should be able to host 2-16 player online battles.

I'm not exactly sure what this means. Does it mean the PS3 and PC version are not getting enough servers to use from Pandemic and the 360 is? Is this why we are getting support to create our own? Could someone please elaborate?

I think it's the cost. Lots of games such as Left 4 Dead, have amazing multiplayer and are very teambased like Conquest, but with the exception of Xbox Live (I think) it's a expensive to host tons and tons of servers for people to play on.
My server has been running 8 hours straight with a total of 2 players!!

So, in other words my statement is correct. Xbox Live has enough servers available for playing whereas PSN and PC do not. So they've decided to let people make there own. Maybe I will buy it for xbox in stead of Ps3 afterall.

Yes, you're correct. Pretty much.

Dedicated servers are nice because community sites and clans can run their own server and you can set your own preferences rather then rely on those of the official EA servers (which usually have default settings)

Whats a Dedicated Server? Sorry if this sounds a bit noobish.

300MB Is not a lot. It contains all the maps and the software used to host a server. The real game is like 6 GB.
On a related note, my server has 16/16 people. ![]()

I set it to 16. You can set it anywhere between 2 - 16 players.

There are plenty of servers for all platforms across the board. The offering of these files is an added bonus as in the case of what Freek stated.

I thought you were in my clan, the One Ring Clan.

Is there a sample Dedicated.xml that we can use that explains all the settings (such as Difficulty, Hero Assignment, etc? ie: Difficulty "1" is Casual, "2" is Heroic, etc) and lists the map names and modes as they are entered in the xml file? (this is for PC by the way)
Also, what is the default port for it and is there any sort of external server monitor and admin program for it?
