Cheers again Sledge. Seeing as I know nout about computers, I'm going to post my system properties here so that someone here can (hopefully) tell me whether or not it will be able to run Conquest.

You could try, it won't run very fast though. Unfortunately it doesn't show what video card you are using...

hmm, I'm sorry to say your computer may not be able to run conquest.
RAM spec : required 1Gb : your PC 2Gb : no problems here
Hard Drive space : required 6Gb : Nearly all modern PC's come with 100Gb+ hard drive space so you should be fine here(just google your PC and look through some of the computer details and hard drive options (your computer would need to be 10+ years old not to have a 6Gb hard drive)
Operating System : Windows SP2 or Vista : For this you'll need to check the time that you bought your PC as service packs (SP) have been released over different time periods
(you might need to google when these came out as I cant remember and compare the service pack release times to when you bought your PC)
Processor : required 2.4Ghz dual core : your PC 1.87 Ghz (I am guessing dual CPU = dual core) The processor is the main problem here, it might not be able to cope with speed requirements for conquest as it requires the 2.4Ghz dual core.
Graphics card + direct X : required 256 Mb GeForce 7800 (or better) and direct X 9.0c for sound and video : for this you really need to check yourself, the direct X 9.0c video player can be found on the interwebs im sure (sorry can't provide a link). For the direct X 9.0c sound, you need to check if your audio software supports this by checking up on your computers details again. The possibly very tricky part (graphics card) if you cant find your receipt for the computer and cant remember what graphics card you purchased with your computer... then your going to need to open up up your PC and physically checking on what model of graphics card you have.
**DO NOT TOUCH ANY INSIDE COMPONENTS OF YOUR PC UNLESS YOU ARE EARTHED BY HAVING AN ANTI-STATIC WRIST STRAP OR ONLY WORKING WITH ONE HAND IN YOUR COMPUTER(OTHER HAND MUST BE ON CHASSIS)**
Heres a link for installing a graphics card, but in your case its just reading what the card says and no installation/uninstalling

...Or instead of doing all this you could get one of your friends to loan you the game for a day and try it out.

Okay, cheers ETs Phone. I'm getting it for the 360 anyway - I was just curious. ![]()

Also don't mix up Dual Core with Core 2 duo, the last one has way better performance.

I believe this game is shipping under the games for windows brand, you'll be able to check if it works on your PC using the experience score, or using tools like this:

Oh no !
I have nvidia 7600, this is so lame... ![]()
I don't have the money to buy a new video card, so I'm not buying this game for a while.
But thx anyway for the info sledge !

Well, I have Core 2 Duo 6420 (2.18 GHz), can I run the game? I know it's a lame question but sledgehammed wrote Core Duo, NOT Core 2 Duo. So I haven't given up yet... If it won't be able to run the game, I will change it, actually I must ![]()
Sorry for my bad English by the way...

Lord of Lord of The Rings: Conquest™ requires at least the following:
That changes things a bit
I've got an alright computer and should run this game ok, XBOX 360 version should be good enough for me though. If there are mods for the PC version (undoubtably there will be) I might wish I had gotten it for PC, but we'll see. Thanks Sledge, once again.

So these are recommended specifications, rather then the minimum system requirements? I guess it would help if we had both, since people will make decisions whether or not to purchase the game on those two things.

You can play conquest I think, as your graphics card has the pixel shader 3.0 option.
Also I don't know the size of the graphics card(if its 256Mb or not) because its' integrated into your computers motherboard, it should be fine though as Sledge has said, these are the recommended and not the minimum specs.

So? This was intentional by Pandemic to have a easy to pick up game for most PC-rigs.
You dont see people talk about the "sweet" WOW-graphics but about the awesome gameplay and features, easy to pick up and gameplay generated 11 million gamers.

VideoGamer.com: You're releasing the PC version of the game at the same time as the 360 and PS3 versions. PC piracy is a hot topic at the moment, and we've seen many developers go on the record to say the PC game market dead. What's your opinion on the subject, and how much of a risk is it to release the PC version of Conquest at the same time as a console version?
EG: Different territories have different markets. PC may not be the top of the list in the United States, but it still dominates in countries like Germany. Our goal is to deliver a great game play experience no matter what platform you choose. That said, the game was built for the consoles, not the PC. So the PC game is not going to need Crysis-spec equipment to run. It's a fun game for fans of The Lord of the Rings and Battlefront.
