Please pandemic please dudes please pleaaaaase for the love of your fans make a SWBFIII I dont freakin care about stupid EA. Is there any way to stop working with them? And 'TRY" to convince LucasArts to work once more to finish the SWBF series?
You just got to realize that EA is the owner of Pandemic, they really can't just "leave"
And Pandemic doesn't own the rights to SWBF, so there is really no hope that they will be making it. I don't really care, those games were overrated anyhow.

But EA and LucasArts have a Working History of Cooperation. BioWare, which is also owned by EA, is working on The Old Republic.
With that as a precedent, We could actually realistically hope for SWBFIII.

Well, I actually have some evidence that shows Project Y could very well be SWBF3.
None of this info is really new, but I just found this out. On Pandemic's site, they have a job listing for a Lead Designer, here: http://www.pandemicstudios.com/corp/job … d-designer
Two interesting things in the description of it
1)They say that it is an "original IP". And as we know, Battlefront is an IP originally from Pandemic.
2) (this is the biggest giveaway) In the preferences section, they say:
# XSI familiarity.
# Action genre experience is ideal (Battlefront is an action genre)
But the important thing to note is the XSI familiarity. XSI is a 3d computer graphics application that has only been used in a small number of games, and only two games from Pandemic have used that software, and guess what they are.. Yep, Battlefront I and Battlefront II. (click here to see all games using this software, theres only 12) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autodesk_S … evelopment (also incase anyone is confused with what Autodesk Softimage is, it is XSI. "In February 2009, Softimage|XSI was rebranded Autodesk Softimage.")
So I guess this points to further evidence showing that Project Y could very well be SWBF3.

So what you're telling me is that it Could potentially be a game similar in style to either Devil May Cry 4, Fable II, Half-Life 2, Lost Planet, Metal Gear Solid 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, Ninja Gaiden 2, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5, Star Wars Battlefront, Star Wars Battlefront II, or Virtua Fighter 5.
Action genre, so that narrows it down some; original IP, so it's not just a sequel, so there goes DMC 5, Fable III, Half-Life 3, Lost Planet 2, MGS 5, Ninja Gaiden 3, Resident Evil 5, Star Wars Battlefront III, or Virtua Fighter 6.

I guess you have to look at what they actually meant by an original IP project. They could have meant either
a)a brand new IP
or
b)another project (Battlefront III) in the original IP (Battlefront).
And it doesn't necessarily mean the game will be similar to the ones that have used this same software, it more so just raises the chances of it being BF3 considering BF1 and 2 used the same software.

Scott Warner was the lead designer for Mercs 2. He's recently left. They just want to replace him.

Not really. That was the same 2 years ago.
And I doubt they are still looking for one, because I'm sure that after 2 years, this project has been started, and is nearing completion (or a playable alpha)

So what's going to become of both of these projects now that Pandemic is being closed. Will the core team carry it on? Or will they be scrapped al together?
